When the Version 6.7 patch dropped, I almost benched Cyno. His old Aggravate and Hyperbloom teams felt stale, and I was chasing newer characters instead. Then I tested the Stellar-Conduct reaction. Everything changed.

Cyno is no longer just an Electro DPS who happens to trigger Dendro reactions. The 6.7 buff gives him a clear identity built around Stellar-Conduct, and with the right setup he becomes one of the most consistent reaction-driven damage dealers in the current meta. If you are returning to Genshin Impact in 2026, this is the build that finally makes Cyno feel complete.

Why Stellar-Conduct Changed Everything

Before 6.7, I always had to choose between stacking Elemental Mastery for reactions or ATK for raw talent damage. Cyno felt split between Aggravate and Hyperbloom, and neither build let him fully shine. Stellar-Conduct removes that awkward compromise.

Now Cyno wants as much Elemental Mastery as possible, plus enough Crit to make every reaction hit like a truck. The reaction itself is triggered from Superconduct, which means his team needs a specific enabler who can convert Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct. It sounds complicated at first, but once I set up the rotation, Cyno just melts everything in front of him.

The best part? Free-to-play players have a real path to this build. I tested both premium and F2P setups, and the damage difference is noticeable but never feels unfair.

My Weapon Choice: Premium vs F2P

Best Weapon: Staff of the Scarlet Sands

This is still Cyno's best-in-slot Polearm for Stellar-Conduct. It gives 542 Base ATK and 44.1% Crit Rate, but the passive is the real reason to use it. Cyno gains bonus ATK equal to 52% of his Elemental Mastery, and every Elemental Skill hit adds another 28% of Elemental Mastery as ATK, stacking up to three times.

This solves the old ATK-versus-EM problem completely. I can stack EM everywhere and still deal strong non-reaction damage. The free Crit Rate also lets me focus on Crit DMG in substats, which makes artifact farming a little less painful.

Primordial Jade Winged-Spear is the main 5-star alternative. It has higher Base ATK and a Crit Rate substat, and Cyno can stack its passive quickly. But it does not scale with Elemental Mastery, so my artifact requirements became stricter when I tried it.

Best F2P Weapon: Song of the Vigil

Song of the Vigil is a fantastic free option. It gives 565 Base ATK and 110 Elemental Mastery. Each Elemental Reaction regenerates 8 Energy, and triggering a Stellar Glimmer reaction raises ATK by 40% for 12 seconds. Those effects can trigger off-field, which means Cyno does not lose much value when his supports set up reactions before he takes the field.

Staff of Homa and Skyward Spine are still usable, but Song of the Vigil provides more Stellar-Conduct synergy for a free player. If you have it, use it.

Best Artifact Set: Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

After testing several sets, I settled on Disenchantment in Deep Shadow. The 4-piece bonus aligns perfectly with Cyno's new reaction focus. It amplifies Stellar-Conduct while also giving him ATK and a conditional Crit Rate boost. Gilded Dreams remains a good generalist set, but Disenchantment in Deep Shadow produces more consistent Stellar-Conduct damage.

My stat priority looks like this:

Slot Main Stat Notes
Timepiece Elemental Mastery Best for reaction damage
Goblet Elemental Mastery EM scales better than Electro DMG here
Circlet Crit Rate or Crit DMG Balance your ratio

Substats: Crit DMG > Crit Rate > Elemental Mastery > ATK%

Because Staff of the Scarlet Sands converts EM into ATK, the EM/EM/Crit setup is usually better than an ATK Sands. If you use Song of the Vigil, the same stat spread works, but you will need a bit more Crit Rate from artifacts to balance your ratio.

Team Setup: How I Make Stellar-Conduct Work

Cyno is a field-time DPS, so his team needs to set up off-field reactions before he takes over. Stellar-Conduct is triggered from Superconduct, which means I need a teammate who can convert Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct. Odette and Cryo Traveler are the two characters who do this in the current roster.

Premium Team: Cyno + Odette + Ineffa + Columbina

This team uses Odette as the Stellar-Conduct enabler. Cyno stays on-field and drives the reaction, while Ineffa and Columbina provide extra damage through their Lunar-Charged reactions. The two pairs work surprisingly well together, and it gives Cyno more than one elemental reaction to profit from. I use this team for Spiral Abyss and hard events.

If you do not have Ineffa or Columbina, strong buffers like Beidou, Yae Miko, Alyosha, and Qiqi can fill the last two slots.

F2P Team: Cyno + Cryo Traveler + Alyosha + Diona

Free-to-play players can replace Odette with Cryo Traveler. They still convert Superconduct into Stellar-Conduct, and they do not require any limited pulls. Alyosha adds off-field Electro application to keep the reaction chain going, while Diona provides shields and healing.

At C6, Diona also grants Cyno 200 Elemental Mastery inside her Burst field. That is a huge boost for Stellar-Conduct damage. If your Diona is not C6 yet, she still works as a shielder and healer, but the C6 EM buff is a major power spike for this team.

Constellation Priority: What I Recommend

Constellations are a luxury, not a requirement. The value follows the standard priority: C1 and C6 are the main milestones.

  • C1 is the most impactful single constellation. If you only aim for one, stop here.

  • C6 is a big damage spike, but it is only worth chasing if you are ready to fully invest in Cyno long-term.

I saved for C1 first because it made my rotations smoother and improved his overall consistency. C6 is tempting, but for now my artifacts and team setup matter more.

Build Progression: What I Would Do First

If I were starting this build from scratch in 2026, here is the order I would follow:

  1. Pick the weapon you can actually get: Staff of the Scarlet Sands for optimal damage, Song of the Vigil for F2P.

  2. Farm Disenchantment in Deep Shadow and keep pieces with Crit Rate, Crit DMG, and Elemental Mastery.

  3. Build Cryo Traveler and Diona for an accessible Stellar-Conduct team.

  4. Save for C1 if you plan to use Cyno long-term.

Team setup comes before constellations. A well-built F2P team with Cryo Traveler and Diona will outperform a poorly supported Cyno with C1 every time.

Final Thoughts

The Stellar-Conduct update gives Cyno a clear identity in the current Genshin Impact meta. With Disenchantment in Deep Shadow and an EM-focused stat spread, he becomes a reliable reaction DPS for both premium and F2P accounts. I went from almost benching him to using him in almost every challenging fight. Focus on his team setup first, then consider constellations once the core build is complete. That is how you get the most out of Stellar-Conduct Cyno in 2026. ⚡❄️
